Hi! I've used Dropbox Sign for quit a while. I draw up WORD documents. And signed them via Dropbox, through a browser window. WORD document got transformed into PDF for signing. The PDF were saved (in-process or completed or signed) in the same source folder. Now, I use WORD 16.9 with the HELLOSIGN add-on. Signing is easy and fast. However, the signed PDF documents don't get saved into the same source folder. I have to go and fetch them in a browser window or in emails. That's a waste of time for me. How can I set parameters so that all signed documents get saved into the same location, next to the original WORD documents? I'm totally baffled! I appear to be paying for a service I'm not receiving. I joined Dropbox over a year ago, but realised only recently that nothing was being backed-up. My son, who is far more tech savvy than I am, thought he'd got it sorted. I could find my files in Backup - but they'd disappeared from my computer. Why? It's a Back-up, not a wipe clean! So over the holiday we tried again, as none of the recent files were backed-up. This time the files and folders which I'd had to recreate were Backed-up and remained on my computer BUT all the previously backed-up files and folders had disappeared from the Back-up - and this included 10 years work in my Family History Files. Where are they? They weren't even in the deleted folder! I'm now in a worse mess than if I'd never joined. What is going on? The program is far from intuitive, and is causing me a lot of aggravation.41Views0likes3CommentsSearch a photo/video/file through the comments
For example. Lets say I have a like 20+ photos out of 1000+ and in the comments of those photos they have the word "red" in them. The Ability to search through your photos etc. using the "comments" as the "filter" there would be a search bar and I type the word "red" and it brings up all my photos with the word "red" in the comments. I hope that makes sense.23Views1like0CommentsPaper is empty and "Migrated Paper Docs" folders are empty
Hi dear team. Thank you in advance for your time. This is an urgent call 🙏 as all my Paper documents are lost right now. I am a long time active user of Dropbox and Paper.I use both weekly since many years. I noticed this "Migrated Paper Docs" suddenly showed up some days ago in my laptop which contained empty folders inside, so I deleted it from my computer. Then, today I just realized that Paper is empty, zero files inside my Paper account, so I wonder if "Migrated Paper Docs" folder is now connected to Paper?... anyways, I restored the Migrated Paper Docs folder from Dropbox but it is still empty. Could you help me recover the 100% of my Paper files? I had all sort of VERY important information 🙏23Views0likes3CommentsThe option for old data to be deleted after a specific time.
It would be great if there were an option for the folder that old data is deleted after a specific time is over. For example: I want in Folder1 an automated deletion of data after one month. This option is only for Folder1. In Folder2 is this option not activated and the data is permanent stored. This option would be great for data that is generated of other programs which have access to Dropbox to store data.27Views0likes1CommentHow to remain ineligible for "new Dropbox for macos on File Provider"
Luckily, I managed to still be ineligible for macos on File Provider, and I would like to keep it that way. How do I make sure I do not become eligible and keep the ~/Dropbox location, in my home folder? I have set my default to Available Offline and choose Selective Sync for folders that should remain on Dropbox. Is that a successful configuration towards my goal? Are there any complexitiesI could add to make sure I'm the last one to become eligible? Uncountable things would break if I were to wake up to "your Dropbox folder is now in ~/Library/MobileSomething". Thanks a lot28Views0likes2Comments
