I have set up the option to email attachments to my Dropbox folder and have tried several times and from different email addresses but nothing is ever showing up in the designated Dropbox folder. Any help with this would be gratefully received!25Views0likes5CommentsI can't access my paid account because the email address is expired; how can I get a refund?
So I have an old email that has expired. I didn't even know that my associated Dropbox account was still active, but it apparently is because I have a charge on my credit card for the $119 renewal fee. That's a lot of money for something I can't even use, much less want at this time! Pulling out my hair because I have no way to sign in and no way to get a refund. It is ridiculous that there is no way to talk to an actual person to resolve these issues! I looked at the support page for billing and there was nothing that I could find regarding this particular issue. Very frustrated and would appreciate some help!35Views0likes6CommentsI can't verify my account, since I'm getting an error 500.
I opened a trial account using my new work email, however, they already had a DB business account and I wasn't made aware of that. So we cancelled the trial account, deleted the account and I am now trying to change the existing email to my new business email in my work's existing profile. I have successfully added it but I cannot verify. I have had DB Support trying to help. I have tried all the different browsers, used an incognito window, tried on my iPhone, tried a totally different computer - NOTHING!! I constantly get an Error (500) - Something went wrong. Don't worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check out our Status Page to see if there is a known incident, our Help Center and Forums for help, or head back to home. I have cleared history, cleared cache, done all the steps Support advised except send them a recording which my work will not authorize. This is extremely frustrating. I need to change this email to move forward with my work tasks. HELP!!28Views0likes1CommentReceiving emails about paid account being shut down - how can I make sure the account is safe?
I am writing on behalf of my parent, who have been receiving emails about the shutdown of their (German) account and I am looking for help on this, as they are worried and I find it difficult to manage for them from a different country. The account (same account, same username) is in fact now paid on a monthly basis and no longer per annual direct debit, but it is done via iOS Appstore. They are worried that they will lose their ability to continue using it. Can you please furnish me with a direct private contact email so I can forward the email and explain further including account details. I am sure that this is about a disconnect in your database, but I will need to be able to confirm to them that their account is safe to use.Solved26Views0likes2CommentsI can't update my Dropbox email address to a Gmail address - Error 500 on opening link
I am currently trying to link my Dropbox account to my Google Account. In order for this to work, my Dropbox Account needs to be configured with my GMail address, otherwise the accounts won't be linked. However, whenever I try to update my email address and click the link that arrives in my GMail mailbox, I'll see the same error 500 screen: Does anyone have an idea what I could be doing wrong? I noticed that Google is altering the link when I click it. Instead of opening https://www.dropbox.com/l/[...] the tab will be opened as https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.dropbox.com/l/[...] Thanks in advance for any help!44Views0likes8CommentsI can't join another user's shared folder, as I'm not getting the email invitation.
Hi. I installed dropbox on my desktop and created a dropbox account. I verified the email address. Someone is trying to share a folder with me but I am not receiving the email notification. The shared folder is also not appearing in my dropbox folder. I checked and there are no syncing issues. They tried removing me from the sharing list and adding again but still not appearing in my dropbox and no email notification. I have tried multiple devices as well. How do I solve this?30Views0likes3CommentsBring back the Mailbox app
Even if you don't change anything about it, it'll still be better than any email app/site that's available now in 2025. It was a mistake to kill the app. Make it independent like Protonmail, i.e. not reliant on Gmail. Steve Jobs said you are just a feature. Even in 2025, he is still right. Email is not going anywhere. It's time for Dropbox's solution to it. And trying to kill it was not the solution.35Views0likes2CommentsI can't access an old Dropbox account; I don't have the password/email address.
Hello, I can't access an older account I made, only this one and another one that I made later. All I remember about it is that it had some art and animations on there that were created in Macromedia Flash, that the password that I last set it to doesn't work anymore (possibly because of a data breach?), I don't have access to the email associated with it [removed per Community Guidelines], and I can't login. Help! Thanks, Aleph74Views0likes7CommentsPossible scam email sent directly from noreply@mail.hellosign.com
Hello! This morning I received a strange email from noreply@mail.hellosign.com and it was for a signature for a subscription for Geek $quad(?). It's $399 USD and I have no idea what this service would be for. I Googled the "customer support team" phone number and it came back as potentially being for an escort service in Florida. I checked my bank accounts, Paypal and Venmo, and don't see any pending charges. The signature request is also from an email and name I do not recognize and it appears they're a student at an Italian university(their email may have been hacked I'm guessing). So yeah, definitely not convinced this is a legit charge, but I can't lose $399 dollars either, so I guess I'm trying to see if this legit, or just spam. The fact that it was sent from a legitimate Dropbox email gives me pause. No, I did not click the links, but when I hover my cursor over the links in Chrome, I can see the URLs are for official Dropbox services. I called Geek Squad, just to confirm that there is no account in my name. I'm not sure if there's a specific way to contact Dropbox directly about this, or if this is the appropriate method. Thanks to anyone for offering help! [Removed as per Community Guidelines]374Views0likes1Comment
