how to get a refund and speak to a real person

I just noted i have been being charged monthly by Dropbox over 2 years for no reason, as i only use free basic plan. and i email billing-support@dropbox.com last week, so far no one replied me yet. 

the chatbot is useless, hating talking to stupid programme.

 

shall i terminate my credit card first then argue?

    You'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

     

     

    Dropbox cannot charge you if they don't have your billing information. If you've been charged and didn't give them your billing information, then someone else has and you should be contacting your bank.

      Hey SengaGlacier, sorry to hear you're still having issues with this.

      I was able to locate your ticket on our system and I saw that you haven't replied back to the agent handling your request and the ticket is closed now.

      Would you like me to open a new one for you? 

      Keep in mind that in order to move forward with your request you'll need to respond to your ticket by email.

    I need a refund. My card was charged for a yearly subscription of $199.00. How do I get this refunded?

    I pressed OK because I got a message about "Extended service for recording changes", but I canceled it right away because it was automatically paid. However, I am inquiring because the payment cannot be canceled.

     

    I didn't want to use this service, I just pressed OK, but the payment was made without any further confirmation message. I would like to request a refund.

     

    I want to keep my Plus plan in use and only refund the 'Record file changes for a year' service paid today

    I am trying to turn off automated billing and renewal for my personal DropBox account, and also cancel this recent renewal and receive a refund.
    I have followed all of the DropBox help sites and reviewed the Community comments, and I am still not able to do this.
    Can someone from DropBox support please contact me to address this?

      Part of the issue may be I have an old email linked to my Dropbox account. I do need assistance in canceling this, since as someone who posted previously, I am in a cycle and keep getting routed from one Dropbox link to another, without resolution of this issue. I would appreciate DropBox support assistance. Thank you.

    I need to be refunded. Cancelled the subscription in September 2022 at the end of my annual subscription . The account was also downgraded yet I am still be debited. None of the self-help options help.

    I’ve been trying to get hold of someone to try get a refund for an account I don’t use. Despite sending lots lots of contact forms I never get a reply. There seems to be no other way of contacting them. Is there an email address or phone number?

      The support options available to you, should appear on this page.

       

      You should be able to submit a help request, if you open the support page from a browser not signed in to your account, or from a private browsing window.
