I can no longer access Dropbox through Finder on macOS Sequoia 15.0.1.

Did this update by Apple break dropbox? Can no longer access through the finder.

I'm using macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 and I'm also experiencing issues. Things are definitely not working like they used to.

      Hi Tamauro,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear you are experiencing some issues with this.

Can you please also confirm if the firewall is active at the moment?

Is it ok to reach you in the email linked to this account?

        Hi there,

I'm having a similar problem. In my case:

        • The Dropbox app is running and syncing, however
        • Dropbox is no longer visible in Finder and the only way I can get to Dropbox is via the app

This has happened after I recently upgraded to macOS Sequoia 15.1 on my M3 Macbook Pro. Firewall is active. Dropbox client version is 212.4.5767.

Can you advise how to get Dropbox back into Finder, please?

        Many thanks,

        Bart

    Hi dcross,

Thanks for reaching out. Welcome to our community.

We have users using the Mac OS Sequoia. What is the error message you are receiving at the moment?

We can take it from there.

I am also not able to use my Dropbox desktop app. When trying to access, the message is 'The application "Dropbox.app" can't be opened'. I also cannot locate this app in the app store on my MacBook, so it cannot be reinstalled. It was migrated to a new Mac that had Sonoma 15 already installed.

        Hi djfriend,

        Thanks for getting in touch.

Could you share with us a screenshot of the error message?

Also, is the firewall enabled? In some cases, we had to work around this issue.

Once we have that information, we can go from there.

there is no error message - just the folders / file names  in dropbox are not showing up when searched for in finder

I have tried re installing the dropbox app, turning on firewall ( it was off), removing apps from the spotlight and then re adding it, re starting the computer - NOTHING is working... so frustrating!!!

I'd like to share a screen shot - but the paperclip doesnt do anything.....ugh

Hi Kathy O, sorry to jump in. You can attach your screenshot here by clicking on the camera button, as shown below:

The paperclip should allow you to attach links to the forum and not images/screenshots.
