When using the mobile app, it would be great to have a download notification/progress bar. I usually download videos which take a minute or two to download but, I am sat waiting until I see the 'Exported' notification pop up. Hello! I am having some difficulties exporting images to my tablet. I was able to do it on multiple times on the weekend but this evening it doesn’t seem to be working. The steps I follow are: Click Select Click Select All Click Export Click Export to files It then goes through the export and once it reaches 100% nothing else happens, on the weekend I would select the location and it would be done. i tried updating, logging out and restarting my iPad all without success. I also tried other files and re-downloading in case it was a file problem and still nothing. I did attempt sharing the folder but I received a message saying I need to verify my email and when I click re-send the email never goes through. I checked my Junk folder and made sure the correct email was entered. if it helps I have the basic free version and have very little space used. Any help would be appreciated26Views0likes3CommentsExporting an Excel file as PDF from the MS app, it shows as 0kb with a timestamp of 55 years ago.

Summary: I’m trying to figure out how to create a usable zip file out of files that have non-ASCII filenames, so I’d like to find out what zip tool Dropbox uses when I download a folder from Dropbox. Background: It turns out that most zip-file-creation tools cause problems when you try to zip a file that has a non-ASCII filename. But when I download a folder from Dropbox that contains files with non-ASCII filenames, the folder arrives on my computer in the form of a zip file that correctly includes those files. So whatever tool Dropbox is using (internally) to automatically create zip files for download is doing exactly what I want to do. Workaround: If I want to zip a folder, I can upload it to Dropbox and then download it. That works, but it takes a lot of bandwidth and time. Question: So I’d like to find out what zip-file-creation tool Dropbox is using to create zip files for download, in hopes that I can use that same tool (or something similar) on my local computer, to be able to correctly zip non-ASCII filenames without having to upload and download to and from Dropbox. So do any of you know what Dropbox uses to create zip files for download? thanks, —JedSolved130Views0likes4CommentsSaving photos to my iPhone created a new Dropbox album. How can I prevent that?
Previously when I opened a photo in a dropbox file and used "Save image" it would save the photo to the All Photos album on my iphone. Recently the same process created a new album named Dropbox and saved it there. Is there a setting to prevent the creation of the new folder and just have the photo saved to my All Photos album as before? Thanks for any suggestions.48Views0likes5CommentsIt would be good to download PDF comments to a local/physical file
I caught a post that was closed from 5 yrs ago now, discussing this - For comments on PDF files to be posted to the physical file (as comments used in Acrobat are saved), or an output option to the file, would be nice. Not having to have people log on to the web interface (or have to share files) in order to do so for access, etc.19Views0likes1CommentAudio files are compressed/downgraded in quality when exported to iMessage.
I've noticed an issue with exporting/sharing audio files over the last few months, from Dropbox into iMessage. I often share audio files for work, and I go into the app, click share, then export file. Recently when I do this my audio files are getting compressed and severely downgraded in quality. I've also noticed file size going from 8-9mb to 2-3mb. The degrading of quality is a major problem. this bug seems to be continuing and would love to have it reported to the team!219Views0likes19CommentsCan I link a folder to another website gallery and export the folder structure from Dropbox?
I am helping my father in law get his collection of postcards into an online gallery. I am hoping to use the Wix website to create a database of the postcards and include the web URL that each can be found at. All of his postcards are in a Dropbox folder. The issue is that there are over 10,000 postcard images that need adding to the database collection. With this volume, it makes sense to use the Import facility available in Wix. So I need a way of: Getting the folder structure from Dropbox, including subfolders and files into a spreadsheet Making an entire Dropbox folder public including subfolders and files Constructing the web URL from the filename and folder info obtained in step 1 I believe I can do step one easily enough through Excel and using the "Get Data" from folder. I also believe it is easy enough to give public access to a particular folder. My issue is creating the individual web URLs that will be in the sub folders. I don't want to have to visit each f the 10,000 items and copy and paste the public URL for the image into a spreadsheet. Hopefully that makes sense, but if not please ask for clarification and I will do my best :)75Views0likes5CommentsBring back - EDL download for Dropbox Replay
Can we please bring back being able to export comments in EDL format. Davinci and Replay don't speak well and often direct uploads on exports fail. With EDL gone we now have no reliable way to import comments again other than manually. Thanks, Jordy28Views1like1Comment
