Dropbox Capture and Replay
Video has been growing in popularity all over the internet and I’m not just saying that because I’m addicted to TikTok. In fact, you might have seen us talking about two new video products from Dropbox, Replay and Capture. Well, to summarise, Replay allows you to give feedback on video files with precision, while Capture allows you to make and share video clips to update your team.
How Replay can make your day easier:
Dropbox Replay makes it easy to consolidate comments, take action on feedback, and finalize your videos, all in one place. If your files look anything like the below, then you know the struggle of actioning feedback when it’s not clear.
- Finishedfinal1,
- Finishedfinal3
- ReallyFinishedNow,
- Final_Final3
Speaking from experience, I once sent the ‘Final_final’ version of my thesis to print when I really should have sent Final_final_real and almost missed my deadline - so making sure you’re working on the right file and sending out the real final version, and that’s easier with Replay. Send revised versions out for review and respond to comments directly from editors including Adobe Premiere Pro, Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve, LumaFusion, and WeVideo.
And on top of sending the right version - you can send it to absolutely anyone with the link - no more exporting compressed versions and cluttering your hard drive.
How Dropbox Capture can save you time:
With Dropbox Capture you can get your message across with screenshots, GIFs, or simple videos recorded right on your screen. As if that’s not enough, you can easily add voiceovers and markups.
Say more in less time.
Amelia, for example, uses it to focus her meetings on discussion and decisions. “We run a test before a meeting to see if we have sufficient updates and discussion topics and if we don’t, we cancel the meeting and replace it with an a-sync update via Dropbox Capture and we send it out for stakeholders to review. This means we are able to produce a 5 minute update for them and they get 30 minutes back in their day. Being more conscious about using meetings for the right outputs, and being conscious of everyone’s time has been a really significant game changer in how we work.”
We love the idea of making your point without making a meeting. And now, there is no 5 minute time limit to your recordings - you can record up to two hours on Dropbox Capture now.
