Can't redeem HP 100GB offer
Hi, I recently purchased my HP Laptop that was supposed to have a redeemable 100GB storage offer. However, after logging in with my account, the storage space didn't update to the 100GB neither did I get any other message regarding the matter.

Hello @Jay, thanks for answering in such a short notice!
My account is not new, however I don't think I have used the HP promotion code before somehow.
- JayDropbox StaffThanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?

Hi,
I got a brand new out of the box HP Laptop.
This computer is supposed to come with 100GB of Dropbox space for 1 year.
When starting the "My HP" app on the new computer I got a message confirming that I am eligible to get 100GB of Dropbox space and directing me to activate it. I started the process and preinstalled Dropbox App started asking me to either register or sign in into an existing Dropbox account - which I did.
According to this page it can be applied on new or existing account.
https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/space-storage/hp-promotion
I tried to activate the promotion and was requested to enter account password, then 2 step verification code for my account, but there was no place to enter the 2 step verification code.
After several tries, I decided to cancel the 2 step verification on my account and finally I got success indication on activating the 100GB to my account.
Sadly, even though the 100GB promotion was successfully activated on my account (according to the message that I got), my account is actually still limited to 7.5GB, instead of expected increased size by +100GB to 107.5GB.
Notes:
1. There was no active promotion on my Dropbox account when I started to activate the 100GB promotion that came with the HP computer.
2. The HP computer is brand new. not second hand and not refurbished.
3. The computer came preinstalled with Dropbox. I did not re-install it. I used the preinstalled Dropbox app in order to activate the promotion.
4. After getting the "success" indication the Dropbox promotion is no longer available on my HP Smart application. Before that the promotion was there.
5. Since I had my Drobox account setting to work using 2-step authentication, when trying to activate the Dropbox promotion I faced problems due to a bug in the promotion activation SW by Dropbox. it allows filling the Dropbox account and the Dropbox password, but it then request for the 2 Step Verification code and does not give any text box to enter the requested data. this is a bug in Dropbox that cause me to try to activate the promotion on my account several times. finally I got a success indication but it may may also be the reason for the fact that the promotion was not successfully activated (in contrary with the printed success message).
Another note:
After trying to solve a different issue that I had in windows installation of this new computer (related to multiple copies of the same keyboard), an MS agent directed me to reinstall windows using factory default image that was supplied with the laptop. After the computer is reinstalled, "My HP" app is still coming preinstalled but the Dropbox app was not restored and is no longer available on my laptop. It was installed on the laptop before the windows installation was reset and still the promotion did not work. I can download it again, but want to clarify that when the promotion was initially activated, the computer came with Dropbox Preinstalled on it - and at this time I was still unable to activate the promotion that I was entitled to get.
Please help, I spent way too much time on trying to activate the promotion that came with the laptop without success.
Thanks,
Amit.

I bought a new HP Pavilion Aero 13 laptop on 22 February 2022. It comes with a 100 GB Dropbox promotional offer. I signed in with my existing Dropbox account when prompted. But the offer didn't activate. Kindly help. Thanks.

Can you double-check the steps to redeem the promotional space here, to make sure you've followed them?
