Sync never finishes, Every morning I check the status in the Dropbox app. It's the same 26GB that never completes. I am only using 32% of my Dropbox account, so it's not the size. I'm up to date on payment.
Is there a way to see a single concise list of the files/folders it is trying to sync? Either in the Dropbox app or via a browser at the Dropbox site?
Thank you, Peter
Good Morning Nancy,
Apologies for the delayed response. I have been on-site all week.
I hover over the app icon and it only tells me the sync status, see the following screenshot;
The amount of sync files doesn't change, it just flicks up and down with duration, but number of files remains complete.
The approx. size of the currently files stuck in syncing is as follows;
- IMG_7587 = 10.5 MB
- IMG_7588 = 10.8 MB
- IMG_7583 = 11.2 MB
Thank you.
Hi @JasonC32, sorry to jump in here, but could you try fixing your hardlinks and permissions as outlined here and let us know if that changes things?

Hi Megan,
Unfortunately this hasn't resolved the issue. Also, DropBox is telling me that there isn't any issues with syncing.
I'm really lost as to what the problem is here...
Thank you.
Hi @JasonC32, how many files do you have on your account?
You can see this by right-clicking on your Dropbox folder, and then check its properties.
Also, it might sound trivial, but have you tried signing out of the app, then back in?

Hi,
Since early this morning (in France : 12 hours), my files and folders synchronise between my computers and iPhone, but on a Mac book pro (14.1.1 OS) Dropbox keeps on sinking (the icon of Dropbox on toolbar is stalled in sync position).
It has occurred after I unshared a few folders, and affects only one computer (the other device are doing fine)…
It is a bit frightening and annoying too.
Can you help ?
Forgive my clumsy French English !
And I did not find a correct label to this question…
Sorry to hear about this, @Michel G.7.
If you simply hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, which version of the app do you see, and what's the exact sync status?
Also, if you click on the Dropbox icon, then on your profile pic and then on "view sync issues", do you see anything there?

Hi @Michel G.7, can you try to make sure that all other apps are closed and that there's no antivirus, firewall, VPN etc. running, and then close and start the Dropbox app again?
Also, can you please right click on your local Dropbox folder, go to “Get info”, and send me a screenshot of the next window you’ll see?

Hello and thank you,
Nothing can interfere, it has happened abruptly (I wan making changes on some shared folders).
Here is the info you asked for :
Best.
Hi @Michel G.7, do you have any syncing icons on any files or folders in the Dropbox folder in Finder when you view it directly?
