You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.
My ability to use iOS 9 multitasking would be (nearly) complete if Dropbox joined the many apps that support it. For instance, being able to look at a dropbox document on one side while taking notes in Evernote on the other, etc. Currently I work around it by taking a screen shot of a document and split screen it with the photos app. Not the greatest.
Just wondering if there's a guess on when it might happen. Thanks!

Is iOS multitasking going to be supported in the iPad app soon? Particularly for the iPad Pro? It's greatly needed by me. I often refer to documents in Dropbox while I'm working in other applications.

+1 for split screen support asap

I am astoryboard artist and I just discovered I can't draw on Sketchbook Pro and have my Dropbox stored reference open on the side. I had to save the images into Photos. Waste of space, waste of time! This prompted me to write this post, because it is disappointing. Dropbox is normally quite well integrated with most functions in the iPad. It is really important that Dropbox support this feature soon, I noticed Google Drive supports it. I have been hearing a lot of my clients are happier with Google Drive. I pay for Dropbox but I will only use one Drive service: the one that does what I need. Dropbox, you'd better shape up if you want to keep your customers!

I am a Dropbox pro customer and really need Dropbox split screen support for the IPad Pro. Dropbox has an amazing featureset but this lack of splitscreen/multitasking support is now a major limitation and is causing significant inconvenience.
Progress on this would be really appreciated, thank you.

Hi,
I have been using Dropbox for both school and work for the past 4 years and counting, it is one of the best producitivity app I have encountered so far and the support you guys have for the various platform really makes it very easy for me to access, view and share my files with everyone else.
Since the iOS 9 release, I have been looking forward to Dropbox being one of the compatible app to be able to work on Split Screen on my iPad Air 2, so that I can get things done easier, running 2 productivity applications side by side.
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only user who feels this way, and we really hope to hear about the split screen support coming out in the very near future, as the number of iOS devices running split screens are increasing as well.
Thank you for being the most viable option for efficient file sharing and storage, and I hope that my feedback will be considered. :)

My thoughts exactly. I have been waiting for this for a year.

I agree. I just got a new iPad and I was surprised to find out that split screen doesn't work with Dropbox since this new feature has been available for so long. DropBox is exactly the app I most want to be able to use while I have another app open. I hope it is in the works.

I was also really disappointed to find that split view is not supported by Dropbox. Come on guys!

I second this. This is something that's really hindering my productivity. And yeah, it's really odd that "window scaling" is something that has to be implemented by every developer instead of just globally by Apple.

I have the same use case as Joel, taking notes on Notability side by side with previous notes backed up in Dropbox. Would be extremely helpful, thanks!

I also want this feature for different reasons: I like to pull up images to use as reference when I am painting in Procreate. Would be great if Dropbox allowed this, like Google Drive (competitor!) does.
- Guy C.1Helpful | Level 5Splitscreen was made available today for iOS. Works great!

Tangential to your question, but i wonder why apps need to support something that is basically window scaling...
