Are you certain that the app isn't already installed? Does the Ctrl+E shortcut not work?

It was installed, but as you can see in the loom video the desktop app was complaining that it needed an upgrade.

Could you attach a screenshot showing the error you're getting about having to update the version of the app? We're not able to open any Loom links for security purposes.

However, as mentioned, I no longer have this error because I was able to upgrade the application by finding the download link in the original email I received when joining the Beta.

Thanks for the info. Just to check, does this mean that you've resolved the issue with Dropbox Dash on your computer? Is it functioning normally on your end?
