How to backup entire mac easily

Been using dropbox for years just to backup a specific folder. Now I want to purchase the option to backup my entire computer but when i follow the helpdesk article it tells me to go to preferences, ...

    Yes, that is correct. At the moment, it'd be only these paths.

Hey tonyob, welcome to our Community! 

At the moment, our Computer backup feature allows you to backup key paths, such as: Desktop, Downloads, and Documents. 

However, if you have content outside of these paths that you need to sync to your account, you'd need to place it in the Dropbox folder and allow for it to sync. 

I hope this clarifies.

Thanks for the quick reply.  Am I able to specify my home folder as one of such paths?

    I had a look and it seems only a predetermined set of six folders is a available?

     

    Desktop

    Documents

    Downloads

    Movies

    Music

    Pictures
