Dropbox.exe - Bad Image

I keep getting this pop up error message when my computer starts up or if I try to open the Dropbox App:

Dropbox.exe - Bad Image

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\security.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020

Any ideas how I can clear this please?

Hi Walter, thanks for your response! I have tried this and I am still getting the same error. I d/l'd the offline installation, turned off wifi, uninstalled AV software, installed the Dropbox app and when I went to open it, same error message...

Did I miss a step or do something incorrect?

Hey bbethel, could you send us a screenshot of the error message by any chance?

Thanks for the info, after some research on the internet, this appears to be a random Windows error which could occur with any program..

It doesn't seems to be directly related to Dropbox, but could be a sign of another issue inside your Windows installation. Have you tried updating Windows to see if this helps?
