File not found

When I try to download my photos it comes up with “File not found” It does this on my iPhone and desktop, I’ve re-installed the app a couple of times, I’ve upgraded my account.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m getting really frustrated now!
  • I feel your pain.  Here's what I had to do in order to download photos to my Macbook Pro:

    1. Select files to download
    2. Click "Share Link"
    3. When Pop-up is displayed, press "Copy Link"
    4. Give Dropbox a few seconds while it generates a link.
    5. At the bottom of the screen you will see another pop-up that says "Preview Link" - press when available.
    6. Your files should all appear on screen.  Then in the upper righthand of the screen select Download > Direct download

Good luck!!  I hope it works for you

      Hello Thanks so much FMATA,

My technical skills aren't too good but this I understood and now I have my photos on my computer!

      Thank you!

Hey Leilei06, sorry to hear about this.

Could you send us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that we can have a visual too?

Apart from the app, have you tried a web browser to download your files?

Let me know and we'll take it from there.

Hello Walter, thanks for your help.

I get the same message from the web browser or the app. Here are a couple of screenshots. I've highlighted the pictures, clicked the 3 dots then download and I get the File not found message.

Thanks for the screenshots Leilei06 - most appreciated.

Could you try clearing the app's cache and your browser's cache as well, or try another browser, and let me know if you get any different results?
