Getting an error that my password is wrong when trying to set up two-factor authentication
Hello Dropbox Team - I attempted to set up the 2 Verification Step. I enter my password, and it says that the password is wrong. No. I did not mistype the password. (I used the password to enter DropBox so) I know it's the right password, typed correctly. (not auto populated) Can you please let me know why this could be happening? I also tried to do this in a different browser, which let me into Dropbox using the same password but when I attempt to setup the 2 Verification step it says it's the wrong password again. I've not set up any other passwords \`?`/ Your guidance is much appreciated. Be well.

Bonjour, Je post ici vu que c'est le seul moyen de vous joindre avec un forfait Basic... Pour une raison que je ne comprends pas, avec pourtant le bon mot de passe, la connexion à mon compte est complètement aléatoire (un coup ça marche, un coup j'ai un message me disant que le mot de passe n'est pas le bon...). Brièvement, j'ai eu un message me disant que suite à une fuite de données, le mot de passe est compromis et qu'il faut en changer. Je me suis exécuté mais même après 10 tentatives, je ne reçois jamais le mail de confirmation du code de vérification à 6 chiffres (oui, j'ai bien regardé dans les spams). Bref, je suis bloqué, est ce que d'autres que moi ont le même problème et comment me sortir de cette impasse ? Dans l'attente,
Phishing scam, account breach - now not receiving Dropbox emails
Hello out there - I will admit I fell for an incredibly sleek phishing scam recently, and it happened through Dropbox. My account was compromised, Apple thinks my email may have been compromised, and my login info for Dropbox was changed. Fortunately I stayed logged in on my desktop app, so I'm able to communicate here. Otherwise I would be locked out of my account with no way to login and no way to communicate with help agents or this community. Before anyone suggests I just do a password reset, it isn't working. Whoever compromised my account has made it such that no emails from Dropbox are getting through to me. Not from Dropbox, and not from anyone sharing files with me. It is as if someone has taken control of my account and is now intercepting all emails, thus making it impossible to do a password reset and regain control of my account. I have been in touch with Enhanced Support, but so far they haven't been able to help, they just keep telling me to check for and respond to their emails, which I'm not receiving. I can only chat through the ticket support on the help site portion of the website. This feels rather hopeless, short of getting on a phone call and a screen share with Dropbox, which they won't do for me. I have checked my spam and junk folders, I have allowed emails from Dropbox, nothing is getting through. I have never had trouble receiving them until now. Anyone with any ideas?
Dropbox Passwörter auf iPhone und iPad
Ich nutze die Dropbox Passwords App auf dem Windows Rechner im Chrome, funktioniert hervorragend. Auf meinem iPad und auf meinem iPhone ist die app installiert und auch verbunden. Ich kann in der App meine Passwörter sehen. Ich habe in den Einstellungen die App ausgewählt und automatisch ausfüllen aktiviert. Die App ist geöffnet. Allerdings wird weder auf dem iPhone noch auf dem iPad irgendetwas automatisch ausgefüllt, weder bei der Anmeldung in einer beliebigen App, noch auf Websites im Safari Browser. Mache ich etwas falsch? Fehlt etwas? Help! Danke, Heiko
Dropbox Passwords to store history of all old passwords.
I wish Dropbox Passwords stored password history. Why? 1) sometimes you update the password directly in Dropbox Passwords, only to find out that the website requires the old password to accept the update. 2) The browser plugin makes a mistake and updates the password, but you miss the singular-chance to "undo' the save, and end up with a record of the answer to a security question as your password & not the password itself. 3) you're fighting with picky password rules on a website and it accepts a password you gave it, but you've been regenerating them over and over, assumed the updated would fail because it took a moment to process, but then... as you've just regenerated the password you see that the password you just trashed was actually accepted. Having access to the history would solve all of these and more. ^^^ This I yoinked from a thread on this 2021 that has since been closed, and I'm restoring it as I'd still like to see this feature implemented. At the very least, I'd like that the app indicate when you last UPDATED the password, not just the date you ADDED the password to the app, which is often less meaningful.
I can't access any of my 3 email addresses to get the one-time code.
I made this over 10 years ago. I have been trying to get access to 3 of my email addresses, gmail, but its a lost cause. I am trying to recover all the music me and my friend made, he passed away in 2022. I cant get this code. I have a different phone, computer, email address, everything. Please help me get in. Honestly i think i have like 3 accounts on here lol.Not receiving verification email, how can I verify my account?
I have not been able to receive verification email or password reset email. I've added no-reply@dropbox.com to my google contacts account. I've checked my spam folder. I've verified my address is correct. Please do help me sort this out Peter
