Unable to view file through confirmation email from Dropbox - is this normal?

Hi, I'm new to dropbox, sent my first video through a link someone sent me.  I rec'd a confirmation email from dropbox stating "Here's what you uploaded to..." and then the file name below it.  But I cannot click the file to view it.  Is that normal?  Should I be able to view it?  Or does anyone think that my file actually didn't go though?  (for instance, I feel like I should be able to click & view the file, but I can't, so I think something is wrong).  Thank you in advance for any info!

Hi @Chibi, let's jump right into this!

It sounds like someone sent you a link, in order to upload content to their Dropbox account, using a File Request. Can you check this article, and confirm this is what they used, or was it maybe a shared link?

Provided it was a File Request, it would be normal, that you wouldn't be able to see the file, since it would have been submitted on the other person's account.

However, just to clarify, can you attach a screenshot of the email you received on your end? Just make sure none of your personal info is shown there.

Keep me posted!

Hi Megan, thanks for your quick reply! Yes, she sent a link, to upload a video to her biz account, non shared. And wow I feel like an idiot, but I don’t see an option to add a screenshot here. Do you have an email I can send it to?

Hey @Chibi, do you happen to see a camera-like icon, when trying to reply back to me?

In some cases you may need to reach level 3 in our Community, in order to attach a screenshot. If you don't see anything, let me know.

Hi @Chibi, the filename isn't supposed to be clickable, it just shows the name of the file you uploaded to their account.
