Changing renewal date of the plan by canceling it

Hi,

I would like to change the renewal date of my current Dropbox plan, but I've seen quite a few posts that say it is not possible. One suggested workaround is to cancel the current plan and re-upgrade it on the day that I wish to be billed.

My current plan is set to renew in October 2023, and I was already billed in October 2022. Now, I want my new billing cycle to start in either July or August 2023 instead of October. If I cancel now (Feb 2023), I assume that my subscription will still be active until October.

My question is: if I cancel today, can I actually "re-upgrade" in July or August even though my subscription is still active until October? Will I be able to pay for a new plan in July or August (and thereby changing my renewal date), or will Dropbox charge me after my currently active plan is deactivated (in October)?

  • Hi joon3216

It isnt possible to bring renewal dates forward Im afraid. So if your renewal is in Oct. you cannot pay before that point
