You don't want to use Quickbooks (or any other type of database) with multiple people at the same time while storing the file on Dropbox. If you do, you're on the fast track to data loss or corruption. Just don't do it.
The issue is that in a perfect world, when multiple people are accessing a database they're all accessing the exact same file stored on a network somewhere, and the database itself handles multiple user access. (typically)
Dropbox doesn't work that way. You're not all accessing the same file stored on a network drive. You may be using the same file but you each have your own COPY of the file on your local drive. If multiple people attempt to use the file at the same time and make changes, conflicts WILL occur.
The only way to use Quickbook or any other database file on Dropbox is to make absolutely certain that no other user has the file open before you attempt to open it yourself.
