How long are shared links temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic?
Hi everyone!
I accidentally uploaded higher resolution photos to Dropbox, which caused more traffic and exceeded my limit. This happened to me a few years ago as well. Does anyone know how long the ban lasts that disables folder sharing and public link generation? I’d appreciate any advice.
Thanks!
Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel V.7, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
In general, the first pausing of your sharing links would be 24 hours, and subsequent breaches of the plan's daily limit for data sharing would be longer.
Just for clarification, were you uploading files via the website directly into your account, via the Dropbox desktop application, mobile app, or were you using a file request link to your own account?
This will help me to assist further!
