Dropbox Basic
1346 TopicsI requested to cancel my plan and haven't got a refund yet
So it began with a 'FREE' trial for 30 days - I needed one use out of it. Yes my fault, did not write down when to cancel, even got an email saying that I wasn't using Dropbox enough. 3 days after they charged my credit card, I see it on my statement = CA$312.48 I go to cancel. NOT knowing 2 things: When you drop down to BASIC plan, email support, live chat support and phone support aren't supported on the Basic plan. Chatbox is included but it's unhelpful, it takes you around in circles. Now I'm here in Community forums and I'm not sure if anyone with authority is able to help me get my money back. When you cancel your subscription, MOST subscriptions will still allow you to have access to your subscription features until the end of the active billing cycle. NOT THIS ONE. I automatically paid for the year, realized what happened, cancelled my subscription without knowing the first fact and now I'm screwed. Do I need to pay for Dropbox Plus, Professional, Essentials again? To maybe get my money back for the first payment and this second one? Well done corporate entity. You know people forget **bleep** and this is how you're set up. Happy Holidays, checkmate for you.18Views0likes6CommentsI'm on Basic, even though I paid, and I see this error "user associated with invoice is disabled".
Hi, I pre-paid for a year of Dropbox Plus using an email but when I login, it's saying I'm on basic and when I check the credit card transaction, it states "user associated with invoice is disabled; please submit a billing help request" Not sure how to do that since I only have a basic account.20Views0likes3Comments--> Did you know... you can search for images using just text?
Hello Dropbox Community! My name is Lainie and I'm a Product Manager at Dropbox. Every now and again, I am going to post a "--> Did you know..." to 1) keep you informed of all of the cool technology that exists at Dropbox and 2) gather your feedback on how the features are performing. In today's, "--> Did you know..." I'll be talking about Image Search! Image search is allows you to use the Search Bar to search for the contents of the image using words to describe the image. For example, if you search for "cat" your search results will show files that 1) contain the word "cat" in the file name or body, AND 2) files that contain images of cat. No mention of the word "cat" is necessary! Pretty cool! If you haven't yet, I recommend that you check it out. Please respond to this thread and let me know... A) Did you know this feature existed? Do you use it? B) How can we make this even more useful for you? Have a great day! I have been a BASIC Dropbox user for years (Maybe 10?). I had accumulated 15GB via new users I had recommended as well as other bonus storage - all in addition to the initial 2GB and more. Yesterday I cleaned up (deleted) several GB to reduce usage 1.1GB in order to upload about 12GB. Today I logged into Dropbox to finish my project and noticed I now have ONLY 8.75GB of the 15GB of yesterday. ... What am I missing here - other than the storage space? ;-) Help, please. ... thanks a million (rather, thanks 6.25 Gigs)38Views0likes6CommentsI signed into the desktop app on my new device, but I don't see any of my files. Why?
I have a new computer and added the Dropbox App. I signed in to my account and presumed I would be able to see my existing files that are in my account. But....nothing. What am I doing wrong? I have a basic product and am the only user. This new computer is my third computer so that shouldn't be my issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.26Views0likes1CommentBlack screen when launching the Dropbox desktop app
Hi Everyone, Black screen problems are preventing me from using the Dropbox desktop app. Every time I launch the application, the window opens, but the screen remains completely black, and Iam unable to interact with any options. Here’s what I have tried so far,Restarted my computer and reinstalled the Dropbox app.Updated to the latest version of Dropbox.Checked my system’s display and graphics drivers for updates.Iam using Windows 11 with Dropbox version 182.4.7895. Has anyone else encountered this black screen issue? Could it be related to a recent update, graphics settings, or something specific to my system? Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!24Views0likes1CommentHow to categorize images automatically based on content inside with Dropbox AI?
Hi everyone, I checked on Google and found that Dropbox has AI feature. I want to ask how to use it to categorize images based on content inside with Dropbox AI. I have 5000 images about fashion mostly. Some are leather clothes, some are Jean, some are Blazers, some are T-Shirts... I want to move all images auto to some folders that fit with their categories automatically. If Dropbox AI or Dropbox Automation or any tool out there can do that, please guide me. Much appreciate!!! Yours Sincerely, Nathan38Views0likes3CommentsTurn OFF selective sync, do FULL sync instead?
I see that, under selective sync in settings, I can check all folders - but, if I add a folder, will it start syncing? If not, is there a way to turn OFF selective sync and instead opt for FULL synching? (I just noticed that I thought I had no files in a folder but I actually DID, because I was not synching all the subfolders, so I think I need to synch everything while I'm cleaning up files.)Solved965Views0likes10CommentsHow do I access my missing photos?
I have the 'Basic Plan' of 2.0GB. I have been informed by Dropbox that I have used 2.09GB of my 2.0GB storage, which is impossible......! Because of this, the photos from my phone have stopped syncing to Dropbox. That I can understand. However, they advise to free up space by deleting files, but 99% of my photos appear to be missing from Dropbox. I was thinking of upgrading, but I won't if they have lost my photos. Any ideas how I can get them back? Thanks.15Views0likes1Comment
