My screenshots are not saving to Dropbox at all even though the option is checked to do so right under settings. In fact I have the Snipping Tool for Windows 11 turned 100% off because I hate the dang thing and prefer screenshots hence why I use the "PRT SC" button in the first place! I don't want Screenshots going to Microsoft's Stupid "OneDrive" and turned that feature off as well for that known trash for OneDrive destroyed my system and took over my desktop on my old laptop and my backup that I personally made via an External Hard Drive and a Hard Drive Enclosure with my old laptop's hard drive (since it was a power port issue that killed it) and not a hard drive failure was able to get everything back but my horror it was all still connected under a link to OneDrive and my new laptop during setup forced everything to OneDrive but unmapped everything from OneDrive to where I want it and took control back from Microsoft (wish the same can be said about the Start Menu) but that's not what I'm here for. Ever since I had to get a new laptop because my old one died my screenshots will not save to Dropbox at all and they don't ever appear in my Dropbox "Screenshots" Folder. I literally have to open up Paint on my laptop and paste the screenshot there just to get it then put it into Dropbox. So to reiterate it in punctuated facts: EVER SINCE I GOT THIS NEW LAPTOP AND INSTALLED DROPBOX (BASIC) ALL OF MY SCREENSHOTS DO NOT GO TO MY SCREENSHOTS FOLDER IN DROPBOX EVEN THOUGH MY SETTINGS ARE SET FOR THAT! Here's direct proof that Settings show that Screenshots are 100% set to save to Screenshots in Dropbox yet I go that folder and the screenshot I took is not there, it is on the Windows 11 Clipboard and I have to paste it into MS Paint then manually save that picture to Dropbox and the Screenshots folder where I wanted it in the first place!20Views0likes2CommentsDropbox taskbar icon on Windows 11 doesn't allow drag and drop anymore.
So I'm sure this has been solved previously and posted here, but I just can't find the post (I've searched and tried various AI for answers too). Windows doesn't seem to allow drag and dropping files onto the drobox taskbar icon anymore. I'm sure someone created a workaround though, It might have been something like creating a file exlorer shortcut, then changing it to open dropbox folder, then pinning that to the taskbar.... But I can't remember - help appreciated!!! OS: Win11 x64 24H2 Dropbox desktop app.83Views0likes6CommentsEmail attachments to Dropbox not working
I have set up the option to email attachments to my Dropbox folder and have tried several times and from different email addresses but nothing is ever showing up in the designated Dropbox folder. Any help with this would be gratefully received!25Views0likes5CommentsIssues with uploading and syncing large HD videos to Dropbox
Hey everyone, I've been running into some frustrating issues when trying to upload large HD videos to Dropbox, and I was hoping to get some insight or possible solutions. Here's what's happening: Extremely Slow Uploads â Even with a stable, high-speed internet connection, large files (a few GBs) take way longer than expected. Failed Uploads â Sometimes, the upload just stops midway, and I have to start all over again. No error message, just a failed attempt. Sync Issues â When using the Dropbox desktop app, the sync randomly pauses or stops entirely for no clear reason. What Iâve tried so far: Made sure my Dropbox app and browser are fully updated. Checked that I have enough available storage in my account. Ensured my internet connection is solid and isnât being overused during uploads. Despite all this, the problem keeps happening. Would splitting the files or compressing them help? Are there any settings I should tweak for better performance?10Views0likes1CommentHow to disable annoying "Upload Complete" pop-up
I have multiple Dropbox accounts for several different clients, and as such, I must use the Dropbox website for uploading and downloading files I share for one of my clients. When I want to add my files to a Dropbox folder via the website, I always get a pop-up box with a confirmation that my upload has completed. This pop-up box is very annoying. It takes up a lot of space in the lower left corner of my screen, and the only way to get rid of it is to close it by clicking the "X." I upload files all day long and this confirmation pops up every single time. This requires a lot of extra clicking so that I can uncover and see pertinent information on my screen. Question - is there any way to disable this notification, or at the very least change it so that it pops up but disappears on its own after a second or two?743Views2likes4CommentsCan't add a file inside a shared folder when using the desktop app. It says I need permission.
I am the owner of a shared folder that is available on my desktop. However, I cannot add any files to that folder. I get an error that I don't have permission. However, I can add files to that folder when I'm on the web.Solved61Views0likes8CommentsIs there an automatic date change to current date when uploading?
Why this automatic change of date to current date when upload files to Dropbox -- no other cloud type storage system does this date change? I use both Safari & Windows (depending which laptop I use at time) to do these file uploads. Its a pain in butt that it changes date so I have to upload then go in and modify to date I want. -- I've read about some synching option but not relevant. I see others have raised this issue but no real ownership by DropBox to fix it seems? Has anyone found a way to turn off this auto date change function?Solved2.1KViews2likes11CommentsPhoto updates to USB from Dropbox
Hi, Iâm an Emergency Services photographer, and I regularly provide USBâs filled with images of their station, trucks and personnel. Each time I receive a USB back to add new content, I have to manually delete the existing files from the USB to put the new Synced DropBox stuff onto it or manually select the rows of photos and Copy & Paste them onto the USB file. upload the updated versions, and then copy everything back onto the USB. It would be incredibly helpful to have a feature where I can simply select new content and press âUpload New Content to USB,â allowing the system to automatically update the drive with only the new additions. (I upload photos from my iPad onto the cloud then use the Dragging and Copy and Paste feature on laptop.) Iâd love for this idea to be considered! - Ty102Views0likes5Comments
