Shared Links
1038 TopicsPaused sharing activity due to the daily limit for data sharing. What can I do?
I have tried to download a large file shared with me from a client a number of times and every time it is about to finish the folder gets corrupted and I get a suspension from Dropbox? Why is this happening? I am not the owner of the files I am trying to download, and I am pretty sure the owner of the files pays for the service, so why is this happening?172Views0likes18CommentsIf I share a link with a client, will they be able to sync the folder to their device?
Hi, Interesting. We have a Dropbox Standard package for our company. I'd like to share a project folder and its content with a client and that he can synchronize on his computer (in Windows). Is this possible with a shared link? Regards,17Views0likes3CommentsMy links are banned - how long do I have to wait until the ban is removed?
I get this and can't share any new links and all old shares no longer work. If there has been a copyright "complaint", shoulding Dropbox be able to tell me what the file complained about was? Anyway, here is what I've done: How to remove links: Log in and on left margin click Shares Click folders and unshare them (done, almost all) Click Links and unshare them, just click and thenchoose unshare link. I've done this with anything remotely copyrighted including 2 works of mine I have occasionally shared. How long do I have to wait until I'm "unbanned"? Is there a way I can unshare everything in a batch? Anything to get out of purgatory.Solved36Views0likes3CommentsHow to discover which files I have shared so I can unshare those I no longer want to share?
The automatic process has disabled my ability to share any files at all, apparently because some either have a virus (unlikely) or are copyrighted. I don't make a practice of this but there are two journal articles I'll occasoinally share on a limited basis. Anyway, I have 2GB of shared material, but is there a way i can see what files are shared?39Views0likes4CommentsWhat is the difference between sharing a link or Dropbox Transfer?
What are the exact differences between choosing a folder and sharing the link of that folder to a person who doesnt have Dropbox, or using Dropbox Transfer to send that folder to the same person? Do not suggest me that that person should download Dropbox. He is not allowed to use it in his workplace since they use a different system. I have Dropbox Professional with University of Florida, I am employed there.Solved1.1KViews0likes7CommentsUser restrictions on bulk deletion or moving
It would be great if it were possible to set a user so they cannot perform bulk deletions or moves of files. One of the users, who does not have admin rights, accidentally moved a folder with 350,000 files. As a result, we lost the functionality of the links when returning the folder back. It would therefore be great if some users could be restricted so that it is not possible to move or delete files beyond a certain quota.273Views2likes4CommentsCan’t share file. "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity" error.
For some reason can't share my files anymore — getting error: "Error in call to API function /2/sharing/create_shared_link_with_settings: We’ve interrupted your sharing activity because your files might contain phishing content." How can I contact Dropbox support?19Views0likes1CommentIs it necessary to have to verify identity when accessing a shared folder through a link?
I shared a folder to "anyone with the link". When someone tries to access it from a new browser (never signed in to Dropbox before) they are always hit with a message to verify identity. Is there no way around this message so they can just get to the folder? Attaching screenshot. Thanks, Christi91Views0likes11Comments
