You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.
Hello! I have been using Dropbox Basic for a while but am new to the Community.
My suggestion draws on previous suggestions to more prominently display storage space and number of files/subfolders in each folder (I will link all similar suggestions below, sorry if I missed out on any).
I go further by suggesting that Dropbox can create a storage space breakdown page that is easily accessible on the For You tab, the homepage on Dropbox Web, (perhaps a new tab on the mobile app) etc. This breakdown page can give an overview - in the form of a pie chart or perhaps another kind of chart - on how many MB/GB does each folder take up on Dropbox as well as the percentage. At the bottom of each folder, the number of subfolders (one level immediately below said folder) and the number of files outside of the subfolders (other files) are listed. One can click on the folder to see a chart of the breakdown of the subfolders and other files of that folder. Below are the mockups I have created to illustrate my suggestion.

I just tried voting for this idea but it would not let me. This seems like a great suggestion since the chart could be populated offline. It does not need to be current, just give a general idea of where space is used without have to click and drill-down in so many folders. This will also help users better manage their space usage by removing un-needed files.

Have an easy-to-glance-at way to find out how much space someone is using on their account by including it on the Dashboard/Home section of the website when someone logs in.
Also have a similar feature on the Dekstop App.
Then we don't have to take extra steps to see how much space we are using. It's there at a glance. Easy of Use, Simplicity, and UI/UX Design Basics. - antaggioNew member | Level 2
Dropbox should have a feature showing a comprehensive view of how the used storage is distributed amongst different files and folders. This should be a standard feature to allow users to manage their storage space efficiently. Today users need to calculate the size of every folder individually, which makes it impossible to know what takes the most space and where is it saved.
