You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.
Hi! I used to have a paid personal Dropbox account, until I outgrew the 3TB of storage space. I downgraded to a free Dropbox account and started storing my files with a different provider. As a renewal of my subscription with this other provider is coming up mid-June, I was wondering if you are planning on implementing larger personal plans in the future? Ideally I'd love a package that has somewhere between 6 to 8TB.
Switching to a professional account is not an option, because:
- I already use a professional account from the company I work for, you can only use 1 personal and 1 professional account in the Dropbox software at the same time, and I don't want to upload my personal files to my company's account
- a professional account requires several licenses (3, I believe), while I only need 1
Therefore, I would like to suggest to implement the option to purchase a larger personal plan with more storage space than the current 3TB (of course the plan with 3TB should still exist for users who don't need more than 3TB).

Hi!
Is there any chance you can create a package for 1 user (Freelancer) with 50TB to 100TB of space?
I don't have a 'Team'. It's only me and a bunch of clients I need to share different folders with.
I've been using DB for 10 years now and it's great that it's so reliable.
My issue with it is that I need around 50 to 100TB at an affordable price (less than $500AUD).
Thanks for listening.

Hello - currently I am a G-Suite customer with about 3TB currently in Google Drive. I was interested in switching to Dropbox, but the pricing for Dropbox is double that of G-Suite, and Dropbox doesn't have any of the custom emails, domain management, or other similar tools that come with G-Suite for half the price of Dropbox.
I think an appropriate pricing plan would be $10 ($9.99) a month for 3-5 terabytes, targeted towards individuals. I know photographers, film-makers, VFX artists, and software developers would all appreciate a plan like this since all of those hobbies have individual users (not strictly corporate/enterprise users), and I personally would switch to Dropbox right away if this pricing model was ever implemented.

I am a digital media professional that needs A LOT of space for storing and sharing large media files (i.e videos, photos, etc). With my current plan, however, I am limited to 3TB. I need a storage option that I'm able to scale as I need it.
Right now, I don't need the additional licenses under the Dropbox Business plan, but I DO need the additional space. It would be nice to have ala carte TBs. For instance, once I use my 3TB and I would like to add 1-2 more, I could add those TBS to my plan without having to add additional licenses or switch over to the Dropbox business. I'd pay a reasonable fee for an extra TB or 3. (see what I did there?)
Will be glad to see this roll out soon!

DropBox is really in danger of leaving itself behind by continuing to ignore basic requests from customers for more competitve pricing. I have a 2TB plan. If I increase it to 3TB (the only option) cost per TB is more than doubled! Conclusion? DropBox doesnt want to keep customers by giving them better plans for more data; infact the more you use, the more propoprionally you are charged. I've been pleading with DropBox for bigger and more competitive plans - all requests met with the usual marketing BS telling me what a great service DropBox offer. Well Dropbox, its the customers that decide whether the service is great and it isnt! I've just signed up with an alternative coistoing $65 for 5TB. Shame on you DropBox for being so deaf to your customers!

It's absurd that the next level up from 3tb is PURCHASING TRIPLE THE COST OF YOUR CURRENT PLAN. I am a long standing single user freelancer and there is absolutely no reason for me to spend almost $900 a year on a minimum of 3 licenses for just myself. Seriously?? Dropbox is not the monopoly and I will be switching to Drive and cancelling my account as soon as my account storage is full. Focus your attention on your customers, not just your money.

I`ve looked at every single plan on your site. Used dropbox for longer than i can remember and i love it.
I have a need for around 5-6 TB of storage online.
I just thought it strange i can't find anything for a single user over 3TB and i upgraded to 4TB and now i cannot go further
without more than doubling what i am already being charged and then some by upgrading to a multiple user team account.
Maybe something for you guys to consider. I was reluctant to move from dropbox as i find it super useful but now i will shop around for alternatives that i can't upgrade as needed. You will most likely be losing me a customer in the near future due to these constraints.
Furthermore are probably losing out on a huge solo worker market as files are huge these days and your 4TB plan isn't large enough at all for a solo worker using large files requiring extra storage without upselling people into multiple user plans they do not need,
Shame that something so simple hasn't been considered.
Im sure a lot of people would be willing to pay to upgrade per TB, (As i would have been also).
But making me upgrade to an unlimited package to only need 6TB is unreasonable, My payments would got from $40AUD per month to $140AUD.
Think about it.

Note: Please don't move this (again) into a thread dominated by people asking for cheap plans, we are premium customers and it is doing us a disservice
The ceiling on plan size for solos needs to be addressed. The only option for large data using individuals is to be forced onto the team plan. This makes no sense when you are a team of one.
Can anyone from dropbox actually hear us on this and do something?
Respectfully
Garrett

I would like for dropbox to have an individual plan of 1TB for $4.99 per month. I don't need more than that....and paying 9.99 and 2TB per month is way too much. I want dropbox to implement this now. call it: Payed Basic Plan and call the basic plan that is free the: Free plan

Hey Dropbox! I am a high end commercial photographer and I run my work through my small business. I would love a dropbox solution for companies with fewer than 3 employees with the option to expand my storage capacity. As a photographer and cinematographer I often have to upload large files for clients. Your individual plan doesn't work for me because 2TBs is not enough storage space and I don't want to pay for your Advanced business with a minimum of 3 additional users if my company only consists of a single person. Realisiticly I need a solution for 10-15TBs so I can archive old jobs on Dropbox but still access them if a client comes back a year or two later to ask for the files or a change.
If you had a solution for me and the millions of other photographers across the world I'm sure you'd be making many people smile. Please create a solution for a creative artist of one with the ability to add on storage as needed.
Thanks Dropbox! <3
