Linux client won't start anymore, I have issue on Arch Linux, but it's also present on Ubuntu.
It fails with: libdropbox_apex.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Fix is to change permissions of libdropbox_apex
sudo chmod 755 /opt/dropbox/libdropbox_apex.so

Workaround is using version 79.4.143 while freeze (chmod a-w -R ~/.dropbox-dist). 🎅

Thanks Здравко,
Worked! I downloaded the older version from https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Desktop-client-builds/Stable-Build-79-4-143/td-p/360015
It wasn't an installer so I copy and pasted the contents into my ~/.dropbox-dist and replace all. I restarted and it worked for a little while until it auto-updated, thereby breaking it again. Now I see what you mean -- I need to also lock the folder with your recommendation:
chmod a-w -R ~/.dropbox-dist
So far so good. Back in business, literally. :dart:
