Once the site has confirmed that the subscription has been cancelled, since it seems it might not have been fully registered from the iOS system, it would return to a Basic plan, and that's when you'll be able to upgrade to a Plus plan from the site.

No, it still says "dropbox plus", although I cancelled the subscription before the planned payment date of January 2. When would it change to basic, so I can upgrade?
On a side note, when I click my initials on the right top of the dropbox website, under "personal account -- general" it says "basic".

Jay,
I want to move my Dropbox Plus subscription from iOS to Dropbox. I just cancelled it in iOS and my current subscription runs thru 2/13/25. What is the best way to ensure my account is renewed in Dropbox prior to my subscription end date. Do I need to wait until the current subscription end date? If the account has to returns to a Basic Plan before I can upgrade back to the Plus plan, will I lose any files?

Hey Dan57, happy Friday, the weekend is approaching!
I'll be happy to explain!
The short answer is: yes, you need to wait for the account to downgrade to our Basic plan first.
Once that happens, you can access our plan page, and choose the subscription that best suits you.
As for the files, please be aware that if your account is ever downgraded, Dropbox will not delete any of your files. All that happens is that your syncing stops. Dropbox will only sync until you hit your quota, so if you are over quota all that should happen is that Dropbox will not sync any new files or changes.
