So if you had a free trial then you have consented to the upgrade. Dropbox very very clearly tells you that you will be charged after said trial. It also emails you confirmation of this.
Did you give Dropbox your card information? If you added it here (or an App Store etc.) then the charge is genuine and you've almost certainly not cancelled a free trial. If you did not then somebody has cloned your card and so you need to speak to your card provider.
To contact support go to www.dropbox.com/support WHILE NOT LOGGED IN - even to here. So try an incognito window. This may also help you find the upgraded account: https://help.dropbox.com/billing/find-credit-card-charge
I did not give my card information to Dropbox or consent to an upgrade, I just did a basic free plan and got money deducted now from my account
I want a refund as I did not consent to upgrade or have money taken from my card for any subscriptions

I have the same issue. I've been trying to get in touch with a human being working for Dropbox through their website, but this keeps me going around in circles. I've 'chatted' with the chatbox. Didn't help either. I've never done a free Dropbox Plus trial. I just have a Basic account. Yet the amount has been withdrawn from my bank account. Unfortunately, none of the details shown on my bank statement matches the 12-digit alphanumeric code that Dropbox asks for on their 'Help' pages. Never before have I done business with a company that is so difficult to reach.
Hey Sdireda - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Did you upgrade or started a trial for a Dropbox plan at some point in the past? Do you have any other Dropbox account, associated with a different email address of yours perhaps?
Also, did you only receive this email notification or did you notice a charge as well?
I had a subscription that I had forgotten about that was charging me monthly. FINALLY, I cancelled it on 9/19/2024. But today, I was charge what looks like a yearly charge. But that charge does not show in my account. I have no idea how to find if I perhaps have a second account. I certainly did not mean to sign up for a plus account. Please help.
Hey jhorton2020 - sorry to hear about this.
Would it be OK if we reached out via email to have a further look internally?

Absolutely! Thank you for helping me!
I cancelled my plan on 9/19/2024 for which I was paying monthly, but today I was charged what looks to be an annual fee. I have searched and this is the only account I know about. Also, the email about my payment sent me to this account. The payment is not posted in my dropbox account, but is in my paypal account. The notice of the payment came from Paypal and the merchant information says

Something is not right. I will need my $127.79 back!
