The Dropbox overlay icons are missing from our company-managed devices.
Hi,
I am managing a few computers with Microsoft Intune.
When I install Dropbox on managed computers, I always check that everything has synced and that it is on the latest stable Dropbox version...

Hi AndreasTheMachine! Hope you’re doing well and thanks for posting here.
I'm afraid I'm not really familiar with Microsoft Intune, so I can't provide much when it comes to its settings or something else that could've affected the Dropbox overlay icons there. However, there are couple of things that we can check together first.
When you noticed this issue across multiple computers about 6 months ago, were there any significant OS updates around that time?
If yes, please check out this Help Center article.
Otherwise, I’d like you to follow these steps again and send me a screenshot of what you see on your end.
Let me know how it goes.

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the app by any chance AndreasTheMachine?
What about signing out of the app, and then back in?

Yes, tried reinstalling it several times.
I tried to logout and back in again now, but no success.- Megan11 days agoDropbox Staff
Hey AndreasTheMachine, keep in mind that Windows has a limit of 15 overlay icons that the File Explorer can load, with 4 reserved for the operating system.
If there are more than 15, Dropbox sync icons may not appear. Let's try to fix this and prioritize the Dropbox icons:
-Follow this guide to open the Windows registry editor (for Windows 10 and 11).
-In the Registry Editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers.
-Right-click and rename the Dropbox entries by adding spaces at the start of the file names.
-Restart your computer and the Dropbox desktop app.- AndreasTheMachine11 days agoNew member | Level 2
Megan, i have already answered that. Look in the other reply in this discussion. :)
There is even screenshots 🎉
