Finding the "Advanced" option during a reinstall
<forum comment)
... If you wish to re-install the Dropbox software and you do not want to re-download all of your files from the server, you need to choose the "Advanced" setup option during the installation process and then choose the parent folder of the existing Dropbox folder as the location for this new install.
<end forum comment>
When I double click the *.exe and start the install process I don't get the "advanced" option at any time during the install. Where, how, do I get to select the ADVANCED option? I want to point to the parent folder where my existing dropbox folder is so it will sync up without having of download 1.3Tb of data files for indexing.
I've been at this for an hour. Install, uninstall, click/double-click, YouTube videos...etc. I simple don't get that option during installation.
Please, please, advise.

Hi sboudreau1
That will only appear on a brand new install or one where the software is not linked to a Dropbox account - so if you are simply reinstalling the software for say an update to the software/to fix a software issue it wont because it will auto link to what you have.
