Can't edit excel files saved in dropbox on android tablet
Previously i have been able to access excel files saved in dropbox on my android tablet. I have been able to edit them and save them etc. However recently when i open a file in excel from dropbox there is a message saying if i want to edit i need to get office 365. Why has this changed all of a sudden and does anyone know how to fix it besides getting office 365. Thanks in advance
- Thanks for the details, could you ensure that the Dropbox and Excel apps are fully updated via Google Play?
- JayDropbox StaffHi Mick, how were you editing the files previously? Did they open in the Dropbox app, or in another app on your Android?
Were you accessing the files via the mobile app, or on the Dropbox site directly?
Let me know so I can assist further!- Mick12Explorer | Level 3
Hi there. I was accessing the files through excel app on tablet and then opening the dropbox folder in excel to choose the files. Never had an issue with saving or editing on the tablet.
