cannot install Dropbox after renaming user directory on macOS
Hi! I installed Dropbox on my new Macbook. Doing so, I noticed that I got a different user directory name than on my prev machine (from johndole to john). I hadn't really finished the Dropbox installation and got a message that it has to change the rights for Users/johndole/.dropbox. Then it says, Dropbox could not be started
The change of the directory name was done according to Apple's instructions, so changing the directory as well as the the user name and home directory name in the macOS settings.
However, the message always reappears that the Dropbox installer wants to change the rights for Users/johndole/.dropbox. I have deleted anything looking like Dropbox in ~Library, however, it always points to Users/johndole/.dropbox and not to Users/john/.dropbox.
What else do I have to delete to do a clean install with my updated user directory name?
