Large Upload too slow

Hi all,

I have 1 TB of data in a folder with many many sub-folders and files all residing on an external USB hard drive. I want to upload it to my 3 TB Dropbox account.  I have started the upload using the "Upload" command in my Dropbox. It's working, but it is extremely slow. My system is Win 11 running on a fast i7 cpu. My internet connection is a 1 G ethernet.  Is there a faster way to do this?

  • Make sure you have set it to unlimited uploads in the Dropbox software and then just wait.

It'll get faster once all of the small files are uploaded as the overheads on those is huge

Thanks Mark, where is this setting? Don't see it in my preferences.

Also make sure you uninstall the KILLER ethernet driver / app suite if you have a Dell. That slowed my uploads to a crawl and it took me days to figure out what was happening.
