How can I transfer files from one Dropbox account to another using a web browser?
Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to transfer files from one dropbox to another online, without syncing it to the local PC. I don't have the space to do it locally. So is there any way...

Yes you can! The easiest way to move files between accounts is through a shared folder. Just follow the below steps to do so:
From your first account...
- Sign in to the account that has the files you'd like to move.
- Create a shared folder and invite your second account.
- Manually move files by dragging and dropping them into your newly created shared folder.
- Sign out of this account.
From your second account...
- Sign in to dropbox.com using the email address for your second account.
- Click Shared in the left sidebar.
- Hover over the folder you just shared and click Add.
- Click All files in the left sidebar.
- Locate the shared folder you just added. You can now move the files from that folder to other places in your Dropbox account.
Once the files are moved out of the shared folder, they are no longer accessible from the first account. I hope this helps!

Hi, thank you for that information! Is there no other way?
Also do I need to have space of 400GB on the second account available, so I can share and drag and drop them to that second account?

Hi
I used Mover.io to move 600GB last week from Google Drive to OneDrive. It can be used with Dropbox too, and is free.
Not sure if this is still relevant, but you can give it a try: https://mover.io/guides/migrating-dropbox-to-dropbox/

Hello again DraskoA
DraskoA wrote:Is there no other way?
You can download the files from the first account and upload them to the second account, but that process is time consuming.

Yes, If you are transfering 400GB of storage to the second account, you will need 400GB of storage on the second account.
I hope this helps!
