You can create an automation that will group files into a Year folder, and then create an automation on the Year folder that will group files into Month folders. Or you can just create an automation to sort by Month, because the month folders that get created have the year in them; i.e. 2023-04 for April.

Keep in mind that this will only sort based on the date the files were added to the folder, not when they were taken. For instance, I just created this exact automation on a copy of my Camera Uploads folder and it created a 2023 folder and then a 2023-04 folder within that, but the files that were sorted into those folders were taken in 2019. It doesn't sort based on when they were taken. It sorts based on when they were added to the folder.

This is fine for any new files added to Camera Uploads, but if your intent is to sort any existing files in this way, you'll need to do it manually.

Hey Johnson S., thanks for posting and happy Monday!

Have you taken a look at our Help Center article with info and steps on how to use our automations feature?

Let me know how it goes.
