My email attachments are opening with dropbox
Hi everyone, first time poster. Thanks for having me.
Ive just got a new phone, samsung galaxy S8+ and I've got my dropbox working fine expect that when I open any pdf file in my email (blue mail app) it is opening with dropbox "view", it then will only let me add to dropbox and nothing else. When I do add it to dropbox they all have the same file name "view" and it keeps wanting me to replace the already existing view file therefore I need to add and change every file name once in dropbox, pain!
Is this a common thing? How do I get my phone to use adobe instead of dropbox?
Thanks for taking the time to read,
Josh

- As mentioned above, the solution is to look at the settings related to your mail app or your device's operating system. Dropbox has no control over email attachments or how they're opened. It's either your mail app or the operating system that's sending attachments to the Dropbox app. Dropbox has no settings that control this.
If you're unable to find the correct setting within your device, you'll need to reach out to Lenovo.

Hey Josh2,
Welcome to the Dropbox Community!Earlier today I came across another issue with the specific mail app and Dropbox , you can read here.
Also it sounds that this issue you're is related to the mail app and default settings of your device and not the Dropbox app. In that case I'd also suggest reaching out to Samsung about this.
We're here for any other questions you may have.
Thanks!

Next time you open a PDF it will ask you which app you want to use to open it.
