How to view previews of online-only files on desktop (like how you can in the mobile app)? - macOS
I'm trying to figure out how to see previews, specifically of .jpeg online files, on my mac desktop. I use Dropbox almost exclusively for photo management and it's frustrating not even being able to ...

Yes, it is disappointing that the issue of missing previews has not been resolved. I can't help thinking it's a problem with the Mac finder, rather than a Dropbox issue. You would hope that Dropbox and Apple, both certainly hearing complaints, would work together to figure it out, but that type of coordination/cooperation rarely happens.

I get the feeling it's not a Mac issue, because I have both Personal and Teams dropbox and it works fine on Personal - the thumbnails render even when the file is not downloaded.

Same issue here, it's rendering Dropbox pointless for me. Shame my annual subscription just renewed too as I can't stick with another year of this.
GDrive seems to work properly for me, I can search and see previews of files. Very close to binning off Dropbox after years and years of use for a Google One account.

Also Google Drive works great. Definitely a Dropbox issue.

yeah - im getting a bit sick and tired of this issue and DropBox inertia to resolve it...better hurry before we start jumping ship and trying google drive!
