I'm using the Dropbox trial to see if I can switch from Onedrive and Frame.io to Dropbox and Replay. I did a few tests with a different account and I disabled "Show pencil when hovering over file" but people that view the video still have the pencil when trying to play the video. For me this a potential deal-breaker because I know clients will start drawing random stuff when they actually want to play the video and they will get annoyed. I've been using frame.io almost since it was launched and I think only 1 or 2 clients ever used the pencil to draw something. All of them just leave comments, don't know why the drawing is such front and center. Can we just have it disabled for everyone when selected? Also I have the Essentials trial and I see I can only use 10 videos in Replay with no option for password protection, that's really stingy. I need to get the addon to use more videos and have all the features. Doing a simple math, this comes out way more expensive than Onedrive + Frame. As a solo entrepreneur, it might not be worth it in the end. Need to think about it.17Views0likes1CommentAdd detailed folder description to Dropbox Replay folders
It should be possible to add a description to folders within Dropbox Replay. This could be in the form of a text box at the top of the folder, where the admin can input a few lines of text, providing general info or workflow instructions which streamlines the collaboration process.51Views0likes4CommentsControl the notification emails Dropbox Replay sends everytime a comment is made.
Really get overwhelmed due to the way my team is working. We don't all need to see every comment. It would be so much better to have a global setting to turn email notifications on or off and also a drop down to send a particular notification to only the people who need to see it.1.4KViews10likes4CommentsDownload option to multiple files at once in Replay.
Download option to multiple files in Replay would be nice as we have like 70 videos and we would like to download the whole folder structure if possible. I know we can use transfer or the "old" dropbox link (which we doing now), but it would be nice to have an option to download the same version. Thanks in advance.1.4KViews5likes5CommentsI'm getting an error when viewing a Dropbox Replay link, even after purchasing the Replay add-on.
A colleague sent me a link to a Replay video but when I tried to view it I got an Unexpected error message. So I purchased the Replay add-on for my Plus account, but I still get the same Unexpected error message. Hey team! Please help! Introducing Dropbox Replay to my workplace, but need to figure out a kink before we can commit to payment. I use Premier Pro with Dropbox Replay. When I share videos to Replay, the export appears blown out. When exporting without Replay, I usually fix this problem by using the drop down menus to select "Match Sequence Preview Settings". I'm having trouble finding the same settings in Replay. Can someone please help me out? Worth noting that I while I am comfortable editing videos in general, when it comes to exporting I literally use "Match Sequence Preview Settings" every single time (plus edit the video knowing its desaturated compared to the eventual export) because I don't understand these settings at all. It would be great to mute/un-mute or even adjust volume of individual audio channels. This affects a vast array of industries. Whether you're tracking separate audio streams in a stereo channel or dealing with 5.1. Everything from film shoots to post-production workflows would benefit greatly from having this control and this is a feature that no competitors have. One example we run into often is that we'll have timecode on one stereo audio channel and program audio on the other. We have to render a separate video for Replay that mutes the timecode channel. With this feature, we could cut that from our workflow.1.2KViews5likes3CommentsDropbox Replay - Ability to Share Folder Link
Dropbox Replay is an excellent product that a client of mine has been using in its Beta form for many months. Sourcing and storing historical data of key rounds of video feedback from stakeholders has been wonderful. However, we realized that sharable links are only possible with individual videos. This means that the folders, or "Projects" as they are defined by the product, are only sharable to individuals and not by link. In order to best document our process within Notion and other company spaces, a sharable link would be important for cross-functional visibility. Thx für ur upvotes, fam.
