I have used Dropbox previously with no issues at another company. I have bought the basic plan and advised by dropbox support. When I go to share the folder, its says I need to verify my email first. I click on the verify link and it takes me back to the folder but I still can't share the folder! Please help!141Views0likes3CommentsCan my daughter use part of my Dropbox?
Hi there I have an 10 year old kid, and set her up with her own DB. However, the moment I shared a folder with her (which has photos and videos from an event she went to) it reached 2.1GB and maxed out. I have a 2TB account and just want to be able to let her use part of MY DB to store her pics and videos. She's too young to have her own account really. I can't move to a Family account as that would be a lot less space than I am currently using in mine (I have over a decade of content in it). Is there any way to make a folder which I can share with her, and she uses my storage space and not hers?12Views0likes3CommentsShared folder empty on devices and online
There is a folder that our band members use to sync songs, images, lyrics, etc. It recently turned up completely empty for all of us, on our devices and on dropbox.com. None of us remembers having done anything, let alone having deleted everything. What can we do to get our files back? Best regards, Alex98Views0likes17CommentsI try to create a transfer from my desktop app, but it gets stuck at 0%.
I have not Ben able to create a transfer on my pc running windows 11 for months. When I right click on the folder then click send copy the create transfer window pops up as usual but when I click it the Dropbox logo just spins and spins and the progress stays at 0%. I am a photographer and this is how I send my photos. I can't get any response from Dropbox and renewal is coming up on 12.22.24 and needless to say if I can't get this resolved I will not be renewing. I know I'm just one little customer and won't make a bit of difference to Dropbox but I won't throw away my money on a product I can't use or a business or service with 0 support!26Views0likes1CommentBring back File Request option in File Explorer.
I used to be able to initiate a "Request Files" by right clicking on the file I wanted the documents to go into. This is more efficient that having to go to the web version, as I 99.9% work out of the File Explorer on my PC. Please bring back the option to "Request Files" in the right click menu.2.9KViews7likes31CommentsRemove "Login/SignUp" Dialog box from shared link download
Currently, when I send a client a link to download a file using the Dropbox share file functionality, they are directed to a preview page. When they click the Download button, they are presented with a dialog box prompting them to sign in or sign up for Dropbox. At the bottom of this dialog box, in text that more closely resembles a legal disclaimer, they are given the option to download without signing up. As a paid user, I cannot entertain this dark UI feature. If I need to provide clients with an instruction manual on how to work around a dark UI feature, then it makes me look really cheap and really hacky. Not only does it make me look bad, but it's also a really nasty look for the Dropbox brand.50Views2likes3CommentsLimiting access to shared folders/files for view/download only
When a person who is requesting access to a file/folder through Dropbox, you need to enable the person who is approving the access request to be able to limit that access to view/download only. Now approvals include edit capability which is not necessarily what the owner of the folder wants to do. The person requesting access may not know the difference between edit access and view/download access. This is particularly important when an owner of a folder of pictures wants to share those pictures but does not want give other's the ability to remove photos from the folder and only wants others to be able to view the pictures and download what they want without removing the picture from the folder. Please email me if further clarification is needed. Regards, Ron52Views2likes3CommentsDoes the file request upload size limit affect trial plans?
The documentation states the following, but despite multiple attempts to upload a 250GB file through the file request feature, it consistently results in an error and the upload does not complete. Since we are currently conducting a Proof of Concept (PoC) and using the Dropbox Business Plus Trial plan, could this limitation be due to the trial version? Customers on Dropbox Professional, Essentials, Business, Business Plus, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise can receive files up to 250GB in size.
