1280 TopicsNavigation arrows for photos
When displaying photos it would be nice to have better navigation arrows to move to the next or previous photo. There are navigation arrows above (and small) but it would be better to have them to the left and right of the current photo displayed. This convention is used many other places and is much more intuitive.17Views1like2CommentsSpecial folder act as "web server"
Well, I've using Dropbox as my webserver at the beginnings, but due to security Dropbox disable this function, but I suggest only allow a special folder can use HTML code with no scripting support, no dynamic function except plain HTML, this can save my cash hosting some webpages and make use of the Dropbox storage for some PDF files sharing.16Views0likes1CommentWhy is there picture rotation when importing files into Microsoft Photo Editor from Dropbox?
I shared a link to my dropbox for a file with photos. The person I shared it to opened the file in Microsoft Photo Editor, All the pictures were rotated 90 degrees from their orientation in dropbox. Is there something I can do to make sure this does not happen?78Views0likes3CommentsThumbnails not showing for online-only
As a new user to Dropbox, I've uploaded all photos from my Mac (Sonoma 14.4) using Dropbox 194.4.6267 and set the files to online-only. None of the thumbnails show on my Mac and this is a non-starter for me in using Dropbox. I've reindexed via Spotlight all of my files on my mac, and I've toggled online and offline only settings and still no thumbnails are showing. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated before moving to Google One.Solved629Views1like5CommentsCan't open recordings.
I receive zoom recordings every month - maybe twice a month. Recently I have not been able to open and listen to the recordings and save them. It is twice now that this has happened and I don't know what to do differently than before to get them. What can I do now?8Views0likes1CommentRun dropbox media in the background
Hey everyone, I just switched to an Android from an iPhone. I am facing a feature problem that I loved on my iPhone! Which is, if I open up an audio file from my dropbox app I can just do other stuff on my phone. On android however, it stops playing whenever I switch over to a different app. Is there a way to let it run in the background just like the iPhone? Thanks!3.2KViews1like8CommentsI can't open an Excel document stored in Dropbox through my iPad Pro.
Through the ‘Recents’ folder in Excel, I try to open an Excel doc stored in Dropbox, on my iPad Pro, I get a request or which asks if I want to link Microsoft Office Mobile with Dropbox. It asks which account I want to link with; I tell it. (I have a Personal Plus account). It briefly tells me, ‘working on it’ then jumps back to the ‘Recents’ files, without opening the doc. If I try to open it from Dropbox, via the App, the same thing happens. The App Center in Dropbox is no help at all, it indicates that MS Mobile is linked, and as far as I can see offers no way of linking a new App anyway. Dropbox Support is worse than useless; as a Plus account, I should have access to live chat, but I cannot find any reference to or way of accessing this. I have already wasted several hours with this run-around, and am stunned by the poor design of this whole site.460Views0likes5CommentsDefault sorting by date taken on the photos page on the website
Hey Dropbox Team, This is a request for an enhancment of the Photo Viewer interface. I love this feature because i typically group my photos in many differnt folders by theme which makes viewing all my photos across a timeline difficult to do without opening all of those different folders. The issue I have is that, the default sort for the Photo Viewer interface is by "Date Uploaded." This seems like the least helpful sort field when trying to view your photos across time. It seems like the obvious default metadata to sort on for photos taken over time would be "Date Taken." I will often wait months and even years before uploading all of my photos in a single day, in which case the Photo Viewer interface will display years of photos attributed to the day they were uploaded which is useless when looking back on them. Could you change this default to view photos by "Date Taken" and NOT "Date Uploaded" or could you provide a toggle to allow sorting by different Metadata fields? Really appreciate it and thank you for your consideration. Payden Waldo158Views0likes3CommentsFile manager view on the Dropbox site
I would much prefer to have the files and folders presented in a file manager tree view rather than having half of the screen taken up with preview thumbnails of recent files. The current layout is frustrating to work with, especially when working collaboratively as it encourages poor file management practices. I want my Dropbox interface to be clear and functional, not fun.84Views0likes2Comments
