This has been happening since my last computer... What I would like to do is sync my dropbox to save to my external drive; however, I cannot access the dropbox app to go to sync settings and trying to simply move it doesn't work. Settings for this are not avaiable online and im worried that if i uninstall the app I'll lose all my saved folders that I've pinned on my computer (which i guess I can just re add) I've tried looking at my antivirus software as well, but that didn't help as dropbox doesn't seem to be blocked. this would free up a ton of storage, so please help!35Views0likes3CommentsHow can I use my previous email for a new account?
Hello, I started with a new company a few weeks ago and I was given a work email to sign up for Dropbox. But me being stupid, I signed up for the wrong type of dropbox account. So I went ahead and disabled it on my own. Now I want to create a personal dropbox account with that same work email that I accidentally used to make a business account with that is now disabled. But it won't let me sign up for a new account as it keeps directing me to log in to the disabled account. How can I make a new account then with my work email? I really could use some help in this manner. Thanks.31Views0likes9CommentsI'm not receiving the password reset email. What can I do?
Hi, can't recover my other (older) account, which is obviously associated to another mail. I tried to get a mail to create a new password but I didn't find anything in the "inbox" and "spam" folder. I've tried many times (I waited 24 hours because I tried too many times, but the situation is the same) Thank you for your attention.Solved97Views0likes10CommentsWrong account maybe? Can't find files with new laptop
Hi - my mac has just expired and i can no longer accress it - so I installed the latest version of Dropbox onto a new laptop in the hope of downloading all my documents/files onto its hard drive - however there's nothing there.. Ive signed into my account alright but I'm wondering if having changed my email login a few years ago all my files are on a different account. I had no problem accessing my files on the old computer and as far as I can remember the login details are the same.. Obviously I can't check the settings on my old mac anymore - I'm at a loss of what to do next to gain access.. Cheers.. My account may be under my old email address, and I just tried to access the acount with that address and Dropbox said it has sent a code to that address - however - that email address is no longer in existence, so I can't ever get a hold of the code!!!! I have a PC (Windows 11) with accounts for multiple users, i.e. a family PC. I am using dropbox, and it works well. However, other users are not using dropbox. These other users experience an annoying dropbox feature after every Windows login: A dropbox panel pops up and invites them to create a dropbox account. I think these users should be able to say "No thanks, and never ask again". But I haven't found a way to stop the panel from popping up again and again. Not having a dropbox account, these users have no access to dropbox settings and preferences. Is there a way to stop this invitation panel? Not a serious problem, but an annoying feature ..Solved4.7KViews2likes10CommentsI can't verify my email address to share a folder
I have used Dropbox previously with no issues at another company. I have bought the basic plan and advised by dropbox support. When I go to share the folder, its says I need to verify my email first. I click on the verify link and it takes me back to the folder but I still can't share the folder! Please help!142Views0likes3CommentsI didn't get an "Out of space" email even though my notifications are on.
It has been set, but I didn't get an email about I'm running out of space, when it happened yesterday. I don't know why. I have checked my Gmail and nothing is in the Spam or Trash folder. There is no filter set for Dropbox emails.31Views0likes2Comments
