Hello everyone

I have an HTML file which is ~11 Mo.

It load and render correctly for me when I'm connected to my Dropbox or when I use another test ID.

But when users just click the link, ther's only a blanck page, is ther something to do ?

Everything work well for HEIC or JPG files, I can't understant where is the problem.

Does someone have any idea ?

Thank you.

Hi @Sanpatates, thanks for messaging the Community!

Currently, it isn't possible to preview HTML content via a shared link for security purposes.

Instead, you can ask them to download the content onto their machines to view the file.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

Thanks for your answer.

Does anything change about security whether the user is connected or not to a Dropbox account before opening an HTML file ?

And what would be the difference between opening a local downloaded file or opening the file directly in Dropbox's window ?

Because I can't explain 50 (old) peoples how to create a new Dropbox account just for purpose of seeing our project.  That would be unnecessary and not very planet friendly !

I'm IT manager, I have a little bit of knowledge in security, but I hardly understand what's behind these differences.

Either it is dangerous and user souldn't be able to open it directly, either it is not and it should works in both case, or did I miss something ?

Regardless of whether or not you're logged in, you won't be able to preview HTML files, as that functionality was removed a few years ago.

You can force a shared link to download by following these steps if need be.
