My earned free space for some referrals was not credited
Hello Everyone,
I frequently invite friends and family to join Dropbox, and as a Computer expert, I personally spent time ensuring their invitations were accepted hence i accepted the invitations myself. I also installed the Dropbox desktop app and mobile apps for document scanning (I'm an avid Dropbox advocate for document management and always shared with people how dropbox helped me). However, when reviewing the status of my referrals, the information appears incorrect as the invitation were accepted and desktop apps installed, all by myself.
This issue has been ongoing for years, and though I’ve overlooked it in the past, I now feel compelled to address it and pray my referral space be credited as earned.
Could you please assist in resolving this matter?
I hope Dropbox credits me the space for these people i invited and managed the installations myself hence i was very sure the invitations were accepted.

Ofcourse there are other invitation where my 500MB were credited, these are not part of this complain 🙂
Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Hello Hannah,
Thank you for your swift response. It turns out the 500MB was not credited because the email verification was unsuccessful.
I’ve since resolved the issue, and I was able to receive the referred 500MB. I will follow the same process with the remaining referrals as soon as I can reach them.
Thank you again for your support. I do appreciate 🙂
Kind regards,

I have tried and tried for an hour to hep my invitee == we have already downloaded the desktop app 4 times and had to remove, when she clicks it the only thing that comes up is the finder window, NOT ANYTHING to do with dropbox abilities. SHE DOES NOT WANT to use the APP now, ONLY the .com site, and it DID NOT SAY anywhere that an invitee needs to DOWNLOAD AN APP to qualify for the bonus.

Yes it does: https://help.dropbox.com/storage-space/how-much-free-space states:
To get started, simply invite your friends to Dropbox from the referrals page. Both you and your friend will receive bonus space if they do the following:
- Accept your invitation to sign up for an account.
- Install the Dropbox desktop app.
- Sign in from the desktop app.
- Verify their email address.
The only way to get the space is install from www.dropbox.com/downloading AND verify email as it says. If she doesn't want to do it now that's fine, when she does do it you should both get the space.

I came on here with the same question! Thank you! So has anyone ever gotten their bonus?

Yes. All 16 of them 🙂
You've not said what the issue is. What is www.dropbox.com/referral_status showing?
