Dear Dropbox Support Center! I have been using dropbox for a long time, it is very convenient to use when traveling. Recently, I introduced the application to my colleagues at the company, but when they installed it on their computers, they all reported that my referral was invalid and no one got an increase in free storage. Hi everyone, I'm still encountering an issue with a Dropbox friend referral where I'm trying to earn the 500MB bonus storage. I sent the invitation back in 2016. The referral was marked as "ineligible," and I initially considered it might be due to shared computer access, but I can now confirm that the friend I invited did not install or log in to Dropbox on the same computer I used to send the invitation. Sorry to have to raise a similar issue again. As promised, I am continuing to recommend Dropbox to my students and their parents, and now sending the referrals via my Referrals page. Today I recommended Dropbox to one of my students, while he was here with his laptop, so I could see and make sure that everything was done right. He had never installed or used Dropbox before. He clicked on my referral link and successfully installed the App. He tried to verify his account, but received an error message, saying that ''Something went wrong." My Referrals page shows his status as "Ineligible." I would be grateful if you could track down what went wrong this time and let me know? Hi. I've invited friend with an invitation link from my account. My friend used that link, logged in in website, and then logged in on computer. And yet, her account is listed on my invitation lists as "ineligible". What is wrong? She didn't have an account connected to that e-mail address. She had one older Dropbox account (with different email) and decided to make a new one from my invitation link. From website help: Ineligible: The recipient is ineligible for the referral program. This may mean that the recipient already has an account with Dropbox, or that the recipient is attempting to register with the same computer as you. If you feel this status is inaccurate, double-check the email address of your recipient to try again. But none of those conditions are met... Been using dropbox for a very long time and back in 2014 I worked hard through their promotion and got a lot of referral storage and managed to claw up to 25GB of space and today I find myself out of space. I am not able to sync from my computer even. I cant find any help sadly and I am not that savy with computers either. I cancelled my subscription from the 2TB Dropbox Plus plan to the free DropBox Basic 9.5GB tier. Over the years, I had earned an extra 7.5GB space through referrals.
