Dropbox Business trials and what happens after a cancellation.
Hello all,
I'd like to ask a couple of questions regarding Dropbox trials.
- After trial cancellation, the teamID remains "suspended" for a period, correct? How many days till the final deletion?
- Is the correct status name "suspended" or there is another name for it? f.e. "inactive"?
- Which is the message that Dropbox responds to a "suspended" trial? f.e. If a user would like to upgrade the trial subscription to a paid one?
Looking forward to your answer.

Hi dimfot, I'll be happy to answer your questions!
If you cancel your free trial before it expires, you’ll return to the type of account you had before you signed up for the free trial.
To answer your second question, your Team won't be suspended, but it will go into a locked state, which allows the team to continue access to the team files. It'll continue being in a locked state unless you choose to either upgrade with a Business plan, or disband the team.
As for the third question you had, I'm not sure I understood it entirely. Do you mean how you can proceed from a locked state?
Let me know more!
