Dropbox unstable in iPad OS Files App.

Dropbox unstable in iPad OS Files App.

The problem I have is that Dropbox seems to crash when running on an iPAD via the apple files app. If I open an application that uses the files app, such as Pages or Final Draft, when saving to the Dropbox via the files app, it crashes the app and for the next 4 to 5 minutes if I click on drop box via the files app it just doesn’t load.

Apple has confirmed this is a Dropbox issue (I raised it with them first), and I have not been able to crash the application(s) using Google Drive via files in the same way.

Can anyone help?

This issue is a bit annoying.

i was apple to narrow down the issue:

- seems to be with ipad pro only

- most specifically the issue occurs when we have the apple magic keyboard connected

It's been close to 1 year that there is the issue.

Usually app freezes for several minutes. Then usually comes back on its own. Usually it freezes few seconds after accessing a first doc.

For me it is worst when i'm in a mail app trying to add a dropbox attachment via the native ios file app.

For me this happens regularly enough on my iPhone SE 2020 with iOS 15.3.1 to be highly frustrating. In the Files app, tapping on the Dropbox folder just hangs there doing nothing. I have to shutdown and restart the phone to be able to browse dropbox files via the Files app, until the next time that it happens again.

Same problem here, on an iPad Pro running iPadOS 15.3.1 and DropBox 268.2.4. I’ve tried the solutions suggested in this thread, all to no avail.

Hey everyone, happy Monday!

You asked, and I heard you. I am here and ready to help! It seems a lot of you are still experiencing this issue or similar ones.

Instead of troubleshooting all of you here, I think it would be a better idea for us to switch to emails.

Can you try submitting your ticket here while you're being logged out from your Dropbox account? Once you do, reply back to me and let me know your reference number, so I can locate it on our system and take it from there.

If any of you face issues while trying to do so, let me know.

Hi I opened a ticket at the link above, #15980101. I think I was logged in however, I didn't understand the part where I needed to be logged out before submitting a ticket? It seemed to have worked.

The first thing I saw at the link was a login request, so how do I proceed not logged in? Also not clear to me how to submit a case. All I see are the self help and community links.
