Why am I getting a message about files being deleted from my account?

Why am I getting a message about files being deleted from my account?

I received the notice below. It seems that 10 days ago, a lot of files were deleted, but I didn't delete anything. Why did I receive this?

Hi MrMisterman1,

You recently deleted 36438 files from your Dropbox account. If you want these files back, you can still restore them until 11/2/2025. After that, they’ll be permanently deleted.

These are the files you deleted:

ShazamJr_0-1724610027619.png

FILE2718.CHK and 119 files from the shared folder KEY
15/8/2024 12:59 PM using Windows 11 22631

And 36318 more files

And when I click on the links, I either get a 403 error or it sends me to the deleted files page, which is EMPTY btw

Is this some kind of glitch?

Because it would be normal to not be able to access the link from the email if you're logged into an account that's not linked with the email address you received the email @ShazamJr

Hi @ShazamJr, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Did you delete these files yourself, or did you remove a shared folder from your account?

What do you see on the events page?

This will help me to assist further!

Hey @ShazamJr - thanks for clarifying that for us.

Are you 100% sure that you're looking at the Dropbox account that's associated with the email address you've received this email notification?
