For some reason, screenshots from my Mac are uploading to Dropbox, despite not setting up this feature in backup settings. Anyone have suggestions as to why?
Ahhhh, it was my Mac settings. I don't know how that happened, but I was able to change the location. Thanks for your help!!! 😀
Hi @Wanda C, welcome to our Community!
Have you tried turning the feature on, and then off again?
Also, when did this start happening, and what is the version of the Dropbox app that you're using on your end?
You should be able to locate the version, by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi, on your menu bar.
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Thanks for replying.
I tried to turn it on and then back off, but it's still doing it.
The version is 197.4.7571
It probably started last fall. I'm not sure why.
Thanks for the heads up @Wanda C!
Is it possible that you have Backup enabled by any chance? Not sure if that would play a role, but I'd like to gather as much info as possible.

No, it isn't.
Hey @Wanda C, do you think you'd be able to send me a couple of screenshots from your screenshot folder, inside your Dropbox folder, please?

I don't have a Screenshot Folder in Dropbox. They're being added to one of my private folders.
When you say private folders, would you mind clarifying more @Wanda C.1?
Do you mean that when you take a screenshot on your device, the file itself uploads inside a random folder in your Dropbox folder?

Yes, it loads into the same subfolder all the time... one of my subfolders that I store meditations on.
Hey @Wanda C.1, if you quit the app, and then try to take a screenshot (while the app isn't running), do you notice the same behavior?
