Clear recent and sync history.

Clear recent and sync history.

It would be very useful -- and I know this has been mentioned many, many times on the forum -- to be able to delete the Recent and Sync history that shows *every dang time* you click the system tray icon.  I have little need for the information.  It would be best to allow a user to choose whether to look at the data as needed or every danged time.  It would also be useful to simply be able to clear the data.  There are times I do not want a visitor to see the names of other customers or clients.  Medical offices, I'm sure, have troubles with this, as it could be a HIPA violation.  I, honestly, yearn for the 'old' Dropbox tray app, that simply opened the local Dropbox directory and got out of the way.

Hey @whawn, thanks for taking the time to post about this.

We really appreciate your feedback on this and I will happily pass your comments along to our team.

In the meantime, please check Sam's response to an older, similar idea that was recently closed.

Let us know if you have any questions.

In other words, Hannah, you, representing Dropbox, will ignore this 'idea' that is at least a decade old.  Deleting files, as SAM (who, frankly sounds like a 'bot or even a cut-and-paste pastiche) suggested does not, in any way delete the list of activity presented *every time* DB is opened, it does, instead, add to that list. Thus, SAM's reply is utterly inconsequential and beside the point.
