Hello, Given the increasing focus and concern on data transfers and data storage locations it makes sense the Dropbox should extend the option to choose the storage location on all accounts not just the ones that are paid for. I appreciate that this feature is a way to differentiate accounts between free to paid (and a way to make money) but the rights of the data subject are still crucial. I know Dropbox have all the relevant documentation and standards however that is not the same as having your data in your own country/region.637Views0likes12Comments'Too many incorrect attempts' error when trying to change my password.
Hi Support Team, I'm going to change the password of my Dropbox account. Let me do it by removing the warning in your system stating that, "Too many incorrect attempts. i have recieved a strange email from this address no-reply@em-s.dropbox.com it says: "There's limited space available in your Dropbox. Even adding just one more file might stop your account from syncing and being able to access them when you need to." that is not true, i have much more space, i thought it is a spam and i came here to check what you say about it and i saw that you say it is one of your addresses and i don't get it. can you please help me understanding this? thanks296Views0likes7CommentsI can't access my Dropbox account due to 2-step authentication
Dropbox has turned on 2-step authentication without my permission. Problem is, I have left my job and don’t have access to my old phone or email so cannot provide the code for access. The Dropbox has only personal items in it, which I wish to move to another Dropbox set up using my personal account. I have written to them on 4 occasions but not getting anything back. I've been trying to delete my account. I've never used this account since I first opened it a month or two ago. Today, I followed the instructions, entered my password (it doesn't provide a place to enter my ID) but a message says that my User ID & password do not match. So I go into my account and change my user id AND my password. I'm thinking it's gonna work now, finally! But I try it again and it still tells me my USER ID/Password doesn't match. Why does it tell me that when it doesn't even give me an option to enter a User ID? I was using the same password I used when it set it up only a few months ago. Since I'm already logged in, I go into my account and change BOTH my User ID and my Password. That should fix it, right? NOPE. It still tells me the User ID and Password do not match. I've been trying to get this account deleted for days. When I communicated with Dropbox by email to ask them to delete it, they told me I have to delete it myself. WTH?? I've tried everything now. Hi, I'm an administrator for our Dropbox Team. One of our employees would like to transfer ownership of a folder to another employee. He tried, and then I tried at the admin level, and followed the Help Center instructions for changing ownership. When we open the drop -down menu showing who has access to the folder, we only see "can edit" and "can view" as options, not "make owner" as suggested in the instructions. I received an email notification that my dropbox acount's email address was changed. I did not make the change, and I no longer have access to my account. I had a paid plan, but because I'm logging in under my "old" email address, Dropbox doesn't recognize it and so I only have Chatbot and Community Support.
