This build is constantly crashing on macOS 10.11.6
The previous version (50.4.71) works fine, but it autoupdates and starts crashing again.
How to turn off autoupdates?

Could you describe if you are doing something particular with Dropbox when it crashes? Does it crash immediately on starting, or does it crash at a random time? Thanks!

We have been experiencing high CPU with Dropbox with our security scanner alos active. We can make the problem go away by disabling the security scanner. After installing 52.4.58 this morning the problem seems to have gone away. Our community would like to know what fixed the problem and without changelogs or release notes it makes it difficult to explain what fixed the issue.

My MacBook Pro auto-updated to 52.4.58 (on High Sierra 10.13.5). This version is forcing discrete graphics on my system (verified via gfxCardStatus). Showing two dependencies:
Dropbox, PID: 10288
Dropbox Web Helper, PID: 10387
I need Dropbox to be using the integrated GPU. Can this be fixed, please?

Version 52.4.58 of Dropbox desktop app forces my MacBook Pro into discrete (Nvidea) graphics mode.
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010)
macOS High Sierra 10.13.4
Version 51.4.66 of Dropbox desktop app did not cause this problem.

If you are experiencing issues with regards to discrete GPU being enabled on mac, we apologize. We've identified the issue and will provide an update when the fix is available.

I am also having issues on Windows 10 machine - new installation, but it crashes soon after starting.
Then, I restart it and it just stays as "starting" in the status bar for about 10 minutes, and then when I haover over the icon in the toolbar, dropbox icon vanishes.... so basically the prgram crashes without starting. I am using this current build (52.4.58). There are no errors reported that I can see.... how can I check error log for dropbox?
I've tried removing and reinstalling but to no avail. This is a new desktop machine, less than a month old.
