My Dropbox Account Vanished.

Hi, 

 

My previous mac had the dropbox extension and my new one is requring me to create a whole new account. I tried both my personal and business emial addresses and same thing. I have important docs and photos that I need, but cannot access. 

 


 Whenever I log in via chrome it keeps bringing me to that brand new dropbox account. 

Can someone explain what is going on? On my phone is the same. Everything just vanished and have a new account.

    It cant just move to a new account. What happens if you log on to the device say on an incognito window? 

     

    Have you checked the email is DEFINITELY identical by searching no-reply@dropbox.com?

     

    What does www.dropbox.com/events show on the 'new' accounts

      Yes, I checked incognito and it logs into the new account. I have emails from dropbox from 2021 with the same login as I am using now.

      Events shows no activity.

        And when was the last time you used this account? If it's been more than a year then the account would have been deleted due to inactivity.

         

        If you're certain that you're using the same email address as before and your Events page is empty, that's usually a good sign that the old account no longer exists and you've created a new, empty one.
